TextBanter is the new service from Teletext that allows Football fans to chat
safely and anonymously on their mobile using text messaging.
As a football fan its great fun for home fans to chat with each other
or chat to the opponent supporters pre and post match.
To have ...the last word in football, you can join now via the web or
your mobile.
Once you have registered to TextBanter you are randomly matched to
other supporters according to each week's fixtures.
Prior to each game we will link you up with 3 to 5 new fans each week,
according to league fixtures. You are then free to exchange
banter by text with each other whenever you choose, in a completely
anonymous environment pre and post match. You can in fact continue
the banter indefinitely until you choose not to send to a certain
fan or alternatively they choose to block further messages from you.
And that's not all... you can choose to request 5 fans from any team of
your choice at any time (a close season choice could be for an Arsenal
fan to request 5 city fans to have some banter with about the closed
season transfer of David Seaman, for example). Alternatively any
premiership fan may like to have some TextBanter with Chelsea
supporters suggesting that they could be trying to buy the title
this year!
